Ok so I want to get a new lizard. Im looking for which one will be the cheaper of the two to keep seeing as how im still in high school. I want to get either a cuban knight anole or a chinese water dragon. When I get it it will still be a baby so I want need the full sized tank right away. I know for water dragons the full size is usualy a 6 foot. So that would probably have to be a custom tank. Im thinking that over all the water dragon would be more expensive but i do like those better. Also how is the temperment on the two of them? I have younger siblings that like to see my different animals and I would want to get the one that is the least likely to hurt them. thanks

Think about this: what are you going to do with a Chinese Water Dragon when you go to college? Will you be able to take a large lizard with you? Will your parents or siblings take care of it? How easy will it be to give it away or sell it? As you can see, I'm recommending the anole.

well yea that is true. I do prefer the cwd but I like the anole as well. How is the temperment on an anole usually?

Cuban knights generally don't like being handled like most anoles, but they can become quite docile with regular handling especially when captive bred.

Cuban Knight anoles are nasty guys. I've never seen a docile one. My experience with them is all in the wild (we have a lot of them here in Florida), but they are aggressive animals, and have no problem breaking skin if they get a hold of you. they certainly are cool, but not for handling, or for younger siblings.
