i just recently got a female who was born in may 2009... i know i don't have to worry much about eggs yet, but i just wanted to know the procedure. i'm confused now, will she lay eggs even if they are infertile? and what is the procedure for doing so? when will she be old enough to breed healthily? i'm not too sure what other questions i should be asking, but i'm just asking for help. anyone with a female who knows what special procedures they need please help =) thank you!

She should be able to breed by next February or March, but if she's not up to weight by then, I'd wait until next May.

Most females don't lay infertile eggs, but some will. If you notice she's developing eggs before you've put her with a male, just make sure she has plenty of calcium, and feed her slightly more, or slightly more often. She might absorb the eggs, most leos do, but if she does lay, make sure you've got a nice big meal ready for her afterwards. She'll be just fine.
