And I finnally decided to look it up..


I've heard from a person I knew, and decided to look up some stuff on it..

I've been trying to convince my parents that what we are giving them.. (name brand crud) is really really bad.. ie using byproducts.. are euthanized cat and dogs, with the phenobarbital still in the food because the rendering does not destroy it..

So yea.. soooo happy our pets are eating this.

I just kind of skimmed over that article. I honestly don't care to know the gory details.
I do know from working at a pet store that the cheaper the food, the worse it is for your dog or cat, typically. Most dog and cat foods are all made in the same factory and the better, more expensive foods get the better cuts of meat and all the leftovers get dumped into the cheaper foods. That is why it is important to avoid "grocery" brand foods and try to go for a more quality food. The money is worth it!

I'm so glad my dogs refuse the cheap stuff. I forget the brand but the stuff we get is like 60$ for a 50lb bag. They're specially shaped so my dogs don't inhale their food, too lol
