Right im planning in getting my first crestie next month, and im sorting through what I need, so far I've come up with a list and had a couple of conflicting views, so I came to the experts! (Naturally).
This will be to house just the one gecko (Male/Female makes no difference to me)
Exo terra viv 45x45x60cm
Substrate to be paper towels for a while untill end of quarentine, and then coco fibre? opinions on this?
Plenty of fake plants and vines for it to climb over.
I've allready got a spray bottle, mist once per day.
2 "dishes" one for water, one for CGD
Komodo complete CGD.
2 thermometers one for top one for bottom (or do i just need the one)
and finally a hydrometer thingy to measure the humidity.
Heres the bit im confused on, I know they are nocturnal creatures, yet im hearing some people claim they have to have a light unit overhead with a 5.0UVB in, what do people on here think about this? Yes or no?
As for temps my house doesn't get above 30C in the day so they need no cooling, and doesn't get low enough to need heating, so no heat pad will be necessary.
Any imput gladly taken in!
