I picked this girl up a while ago, and I REALLY like her. She's got fantastic orange coloration, so I think I can fit her in with a couple of my projects. But not until I test breed her at least one season to see what she may be het for.

She's at least a Tang, and that's what she was purchased as. My questions are: (1.) Would you say she's Hypo? and (2.) Are the eyes normal or albino? I have a very odd feeling she may be het for an albino strain, but I'm not certain. So anyway, here she is!

very beautiful tang, im not perfect with albinos so i wont confuse you with any comments on that, i dont kno if its the lighting but it looks like it has a nice amount of carrot tail, and i wouldnt call it a hypo as it has 12 body spots that i can see, but very nice gecko all in all, and especially good buy....kyle

THe lighting in the picture is a bit unusual, so it's hard for me to tell, but she looks as if she has no black on her, rather, dark brown. In that case I'd say she is an albino, though her eyes don't look particularly albino to me. If she's not an albino and you're wondering if the eyes could indicate she's het for albino, as far as I know, a het for albino would have no visible albino traits anywhere. In any case, she's lovely.

Kyle, I thought she has too much spotting too to be a hypo. The orange does go quite a way down her tail, but it's not complete enough for me to refer to it as carrot tail. Thanks!

Aliza, I know you can't see that this gecko's het for albino, but I had a feeling that it is. That's all. And while the first picture is a bit dark, the others are pretty much true. She does have brown, and not black spotting. Maybe albino based on that?

Paul, I have a LV Albino and the eyes are WAY lighter than these. I'll have to do some eye picture comparisons to see if I can find some similarities.

Thanks for your feedback thus far!

Its hard to tell from the lighting but she does look like a rainwater. but those eyes. are they kind of blue? they look a little blue on my screen. could have something new. blue eyed rainwaters.

now that i look at it again their not so blue, maybe its the background.

Nope, not really blue. I'd say they're more grey than blue. I've got an LV het male that I could breed her too, but wasn't planning on it. Maybe I need to rethink that. :main_rolleyes:

Chris, thats exactly what I'm thinking. If not Tremper, then I have a feeling its het Tremper. So I'll be test breeding her to the male I got from you. I'll post results of that pairing outcome. Thanks for chining in! :)
