At noon today Sobe passed away while in Ron's hand. We had an necropsy done. Intestines looked fine. Her liver was white & her kidneys where small. We did not want to spend $250. to send her to a pathologist for parasites. The vet said, "he felt strongly that this was a unique sickness to Sobe". So it looks like it may have been an organ failure. She did not show signs of parasite diseases. When we picked her up this morning her tail was as hard as a rock & by late this morning her back legs were hard too. I noticed the signs with the shakey front legs on 10/1/ & on 10/24 she passed away. It has been a long road & has been very difficult as she was our first one.
In time we will be looking for another Tremper Albino (Sobe 2). For now we will focus on the our 2 babies we just got last Saturday at the Reptile Expo & the one has not eaten yet & the other eats like a pig. We have a high yellow male who is doing very well. Daisy, who was Sobe's cage mate is also doing very well.
We don't know what caused Sobe to get so sick so quickly. She really didn't loose that much weight either. It just never made sense. I bought her on 7/5 at a pet store so I had her for 3 months.
