Some help

Hi

This is my first time breeding. Izzie, my female, laid an egg 2 1/2 weeks ago. It was her first clutch ever and that egg was infertile. Last night she laid an egg and I found it around 7:45. I put it in the incubator and this morning it was dented so i increased humidity.

I'm pretty sure Izzie still has another egg in her. All night she was kicking the vermiculite out of her lay box and arranging it on the floor of her tank (I don't think shes so smart) but she hasn't laid anything.

I made my own incubator with a styro, a heat pad, a thermostat, a thermometer, a thing of water and a little shelf. I have moist vermiculite in the deli cup that holds the egg.

I just want to know if Izzie is normal for first time breeders...or at least someone has heard of it before. And if anyone has any advice that would be great.

thanks!!

It sounds normal. Often first time breeders (and even seconde time breeders) will lay only 1 egg. Many breeders will also keep digging for awhile after they're done laying eggs.
