Had this girl hatch yesterday. i have alot of patternless babies, but never one this colour and with "patternless" blotches aligned "similar" to a stripe, extending down the tail too? all have been patty yellows of some degree or bright albinos, but blotching is always random.... any ideas would be appreciated.

I have never seen this in a patternless. It is clearly a patternless gecko though. have you produced any stripe or reverse stripe geckos from either of the parents?

no, all have been the standard random pattys, or mack cross with the paler background. none with any symmetry to the markings. it might be hard to see, but it follows through the tail, and the purple/grayish is also odd, any past dark ones were brownish with fairly bright yellow straight away.

i am definitely going to hang on to her and see what develops...i will send in pics at 4-6 weeks, whenever something interesting develops with her. 8 more eggs to go, chance for another i guess! thanx

i have seen babies like this before

it's just a dark patternless and with time should color up more. if you look at the back legs you can see color in them already and the blotches on the back. neat looking baby though but it should turn out a normal patternless with a varying degree of color light to dark. who knows?
