Some Leopard Gecko Questions

Hey everyone, I have a few questions... Leopard Geckos are nocturnal, but can they see in the dark? In the wild they would have the moon for some light, but in my room its all black at night, and they dont seem to come out unless I leave my computer's screen on for some light. Any ideas on this? Also, if a leo is about to shed, what would happen if you sprinkled some calcium on them so it would be eaten with the skin? Just curious :main_thumbsup:

geckos can see fine in the dark actually some colors of light the geckos cant see like red and black. u could get a red light buld for veiwing but i like to keep my veiewing lights not right on top of the cage so it doesnt create to much heat. about the calcium on the skin i wouldnt reccomend doing that, a calcium dish in the cage and frequent dusting is sufficient.

In the wild they would come out at dusk to hunt so they probably see better with some light. Maybe a small nightlight in the room would help. Keeping calcium in a dish is sufficient.

My gecko doesn't like to come out even when there's just a little light. He only likes to come out when there is no lights on in the room.
