So I have a question: What is the difference between a Tangerine Tornado and a SHTCTB? The darker coloring? Would this guy be a Tangerine Tornado?

basically a one tornado
SHTCTB but has a much more intense red coloration.
I would say your animal is a tornado.

A Tangerine Tornado is The Urban Reptile's line of tangerines. It's not based on the way they look it is based on the genetics they came from. So for a SHTCTB to be a Tangerine Tornado it would have to come from The Urban Reptile.

So apparently, you can have two identical geckos but different morphs...... and nobody else can have Tornados unless they get them from Urban Reptiles.

I guess if you buy from the right people then it is. They have their own special snow line too.

That seems strange to me. I mean, I could name the genetics of my "normal" (high yellow) and breed it calling it a new morph, but it wouldn't really be. I just would have attached an arbitrary name to a group of geckos that would only be different because I said they are.

At least that's my understanding of this. I could be way off.

Well most morphs come from a breeder who focused on certain traits or colors (Tremper, Bell, etc) but they are everywhere and I mean you can name a morph if you develop it but I am just not understanding how only one certain business can have the claim to call there geckos by a name and if you didn't get your gecko from them then it's not a true tornado. I think Thor looks just like the other tornados. I am really confused about this

I know it doesnt have red eyes, none is an albino, thats why i was asking why is it called a "glow".

About the Tornadoes, only animals descending from real Tornadoes can be called Tornadoes. It is not a new morph, its a LINE of SHTCT which has specific ancestry.

No, you couldnt call it a new morph. The difference is that the Tornadoes have been selectively bred for many generations to achieve their disctinct look. Thats how a line is made, is something that take many years of work and also stands out from the other lines and have a specific ancestry/bloodline. Even if you have an insanely red gecko, you could never call it a Tornado because it doesnt descend from Tornado bloodline. Also if you cross a Tornado to a SHTCT, the offpsrings coulnt be called Tornado either, they would be called SHTCT Tornado Cross because BOTH parents need to be Tornadoes to produce Tornadoes.
