The following are a few new additions I've picked up. The older additions had pics taken Dec 12 and the newer critters had theirs taken March 1; dates noted within photo border. I'm getting ready to eat dinner, but will (re)post pics of a few of my long term geckos as well.

First up the new geckos:

Kelli produced her, but I got her from Robin. Similarly with the large female RW PA. She was produced by Garrick DeMeyer, but bought from Robin.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Yeah, I think something underlying may possibly be going on there. She's going to be paired with either Golden-Eye or Triton. I know them to be normal "het for normal". I'm just trying to decide if I want to incubate for males and females from whichever pairing I opt on or if I want to do just males or just females. If I do a mix I can cross siblings and also use a male to cross back to mom. If I pick just 1 sex to incubate for I won't be able to do the amount of test crossing that may be needed if anything is going on.

Stop your crying!

I was checking females last night, got some O's starting to spin up. Pairings should start soon. I'll be disinfecting the igloo-bator and internal components today to spin it up to temps. I need to make a smaller one to run as a male bator.

How's Joker doing, briefly saw the mentioning on FB? I need to log in longer and do some actual maintenance within FB (like confirm friend requests, etc.)

awesome looking geckos, and you need to share some of those photography skills. man those geckos fly off the page

I'll get pics of the setup later today. Verbally, it's a somewhat cheap softbox I created using 3/4 inch PVC pipe and a white sheet. The softbox is roughly 2 ft cubed if I remember right and the sheet was cut to form-fit the PVC frame (sometimes I really appreciate the little things I learned from my seamstress mother), then attaches to the frame with velcro.

The old design utilized three 8.5 inch clamp lamps (1 from behind, 1 from left, 1 from right) with 100w CFL daylight bulbs. The day light bulbs produce a light color cast in the temp range of 6500 Kelvin. For full illumination, and fired wirelessly from above I used an Nikon SB-800 flash.

The new design is less bulky. :D I ditched the lights and purchsed 2 small, adjustable tripods. I also purchased a 2nd flash unit, an SB-600. Both the SB-600 and SB-800 are fired wirelessly from the left and right, angled about 45° down to roughly softbox center. The flashes are triggered with a Nikon D300 (insert leg humper smily here) with a 60mm micro lens (insert 2nd leg humper smily) attached.

I love the first normal male! I've been looking for a dark one like that. They are all beautiful!

I have some plans for him :main_evilgrin: I just need to find some females for him. I'll most likely pair him with one of the normal females I have for now as the females I need to find may be a little hard to locate in today's day and age of leopard geckos. They wouldn't have been as hard to find about 5-7 years ago.

Thanks for asking he is doing much better, doesnt seem to realize that when you have a seven inch gash in your belly that rest is the best thing for you. I need to come by one day this week and check out your stuff. It has been awhile and could use time away from my own collection....
