this is the second attempt someone had at me in less than two months.....the first guy learned the hard way...however this one is lucky i didnt get ahold of him.

tonight i was at the citgo on 58th ave near my work... on my lunch break and some kid was standing awefully close to a lady at the atm. she pulled ten out and his eyes turned to me, because i was payin with a twenty. when i went to pay for my stuff i bought, the idiot ran at me and attempted to grab my money out of my hand, he ended up grabbing the back of my hand missing the money all together and i grabbed the back of his shirt, but he pulled free and i chased him out of the store while he dove headfirst into the backseat of a waiting car that sped away with him hanging halfway out of it, he managed to get in. but i got the plate of the car, the citgo has the whole thing on camera and the cops are trying to find him as we speak. they are gonna try to get him for strong arm robbery. my advice is WATCH YOUR BACK PEOPLE!!!! even at the cash register, anywhere, always watch everybody around you and be prepaired.

That sucks!!

I've been robbed before, it's a really long story but to make it short they guy was never caught and it screwed me over for life! it's always safe to watch around you what's going anywhere you are, for me it's hard not be paranoid once held at gun point! I am sometimes paranoid checking the mailbox lol

the last attempt, i must say the guy learned a lesson. i broke his nose and i punched him in the head and knocked him out cold.......he is now rotting in jail.

i must say this guy got lucky, because when somebody tries to take for free what took me hours of greuling hard work to earn, i get quite upset and cant hold back. im EXTREMELY easy going. i let people walk all over me to avoid confrentation, but when somebody tries to take what i earned it sets me off.

Wow, 2 attempts in 2 months, that sucks. Well, touch wood, I haven't been robbed before, but my sister had. She was buying take away for us and as soon as she stepped out of Pizza hut, a girl raised passed her and took her wallet off her hand. My sis chased that girl for several streets but ran out of breath in the end. She didn't have too much money in the wallet, but the wallet itself is pretty costly, its a brandnew LV wallet that my parents just bought her for her birthday!!

Oh man that sucks. You never know these days. This country is not as safe as it used to be when I was a kid. I was walking home by myself from school in first grade. Now days it's not even safe for adults to be out and about without the chance of being attacked or robbed.

I have never been robbed face to face, but I have had my car stereo stolen once, then my whole car got stolen, then someone stole my car keys while I was at a bar. My boyfriend at the time drove me home when the bar closed. They came back later to get the car, and my boyfriend, who was about 250 + pounds was waiting for them. Need less to say, they learned a lesson the hard way...

I think the holidays are making people crazy! Trying to rob people for 20 bucks, keying cars for no reason, sheesh. What happened to the joy of the season?!

I hope they catch him!

I have never been robbed, well never right in front of my eyes. But not long ago my sister in law was with her two children comming out of a store when a man grabbed her purse. She would not let go and he was fighting her for it and bent her pinky back. She still was not letting go. Her 12 year old daughter started hitting him and I guess the guys wife came over and started hitting my sister in the belly (She had just found out she was pregnant too) Then my niece went to get someone to help and and another person pulled up with a getaway car and they all gave up and ran off. while all this was happening my 4 year old nephew was standing back, scared as hell, crying his poor little eyes out. They did catch all the people involved. My neice is looked at as a hero around here for helping her mom fight off the bad guys and getting help. She has received countless rewards. and got to go on the Montel Show and tell her story.

I'm glad I'm larger than the average bear. I've never been messed with unless its at night and theres more than 3 people. I've been robbed a few times, once when i was younger right in front of me. 2 kids took my stuff from under my feet and ran. Now I carry items of defense.

Times like this make me glad I live in a small "peaceful" neighborhood. And the fact that I am built like my father and uncles helps a bit too I suppose. And beleive me they are Gorillas.

well, i lift heavy furniture all day and every day so im not a small guy. i listen to heavy metal and have a mohawk that stands about 5 inches tall....on the outside i look mean and some say crazy......this kid had some guts i tell you that.. but honestly im a very peaceful, curteous guy, quick to help push someones car out of the street should they run out of gas, and always hold the door open for people should they be entering the same place as me....you know....tough on the outside (or when i need to be) but im just a big softie on the inside....lol

The Show Already aired. It was the children heros one. You might catch a re run though. Their names are Katie and deanna. You would Know because Deanna is the only pregnant woman on the show lol.

It was very dangerous. I yelled at my sister for not letting go of the purse. I would have fought back too but not if children were involved. Money and purses can be replaced but children can not and I was very upset about the situation but everything turned out ok.

From my long amount of time living in really ghetto neighborhoods in DC, I learned a few things that kept my money safe. If you get those credit card offers with the fake cards in them, start keeping them. I bought a cheapo small wallet and filled it with those fake cards and like 5 1 dollor bills. When i would have to walk my dog at night...a rottweiler, I would carry this fake wallet. If someone came at me from behind and demanded my wallet (if my dog had not chewed their leg off yet) I would give it up, they would run around the corner....i would run home....and they would find fake credit cards and a few bucks....Oh the disapointment. When i would go out, i would again carry this wallet in a shitty purse that I didn't really care about. I would put my cash in my bra and my credit card/ driver liscense and that stuff in my sock. I never actually got to see if it would work, because everyone thought I was a cop becase I had a Rottweiler.and eventually the neighbor-hoodies got used to me...but I think this method is helpfull, and would be much better than having your actualy wallet stolen.

And calling the police where I lived, was a waste of time....DCPD was even scared of some sections of the city.

Sorry this doens't really have anything to do with the OP or a gas station attempt, but some advice from the once murder capital.

And im going to go out on a limb and say that dude was a meth junkie...who knows, but robbing someone for $20 is a junkie thing to do.
