Hi, my snow tremper enigma has something in it's eye, it looks transparent but it's been a week and it didn't come off. I spray water on it daily to help, what else can I do?

Call them to see if they work on reptiles.

They only work on the common pets. But I'll still give it a shot. For now what's the best thing to do? It seems to be skin of the eye that didn't come off. I spray water daily and today soaked it in warm water. If the vet can't handle it, I'm just gonna soak daily. It seems to relieve her a bit.

Have your tried brushing it ever so gently with a q-tip, i know this can be a bit dangerous when dealing with eyes.

I would do that if the situation gets worse, none of the vets here would take her in. So i guess saline solution for now would be my best best, next would be fuisidic acid...

Treated the gecko myself, used droplets for people who use contact lenses and it seemed to work, the layer of skin is no longer stuck but it's still not out yet. I'm giving it a bit of time, it's also about to shed anytime so hopefully it gets removed along with the shedding.

You're going to have to remove the stuck eye shed or infection will follow. Using plain sterile saline solution (for sensitive eyes) along with a moistened qtip works well. It may take a few attempts but you have to get it out, waiting will just make it worse. Don't use anything but the saline or just water.

Should I remove ASAP or wait for it to shed? Because it's deep in pre-shed right now...

If it's going to shed now, get in in for a warm soak and let it shed. If anything is left in the eye tho, you'll need to work that piece out.

I hope it gets removed from the shed, it is similar to this, but more transparent.
