Ronnie Junior. Super long, 70g at less than 4 months. Very smart and friendly like his father. Congrats to DG customer Anthony who picked up this gorgeous monster...maybe the best gecko we ever produced. Tons of bright yellow and lots of orange coming in now on this guy.

He'll be shipped tomorrow. I'll try to get some shots before we do. His oranges are really getting intense now, as is his CT. But what really blew me away is how friendly and smart he is, exactly like Ronnie. I held him for quite a while today to kinda say goodbye. I put him back, and within a few seconds he was pawing at the front of the tub for more, so I took him out again.
We deal with tons of geckos, but one doesn't come around like this very often. I'm frankly shocked he lasted for sale as long as he did! This economy must really be holding back a lot of people, because a gecko of this level should've sold instantly. I see geckos going for $2500 that can't hold a candle to this gecko. Seriously.

I bet he'll watch sports on TV just like his father. Ronnie is a TV addict. I turn the TV on and leave him on the couch and he'll sit there all night by himself watching while I do other things. He especially likes rock concert videos! STG!

Moosie's like that too. Amazing how smart some leos really are if you give them a chance to expand their horizons. Like a dog in a lizard's body.

I agree. I see sketch genetics and false titles fetching a pretty penny...but I don't care because quality will always sell so I just do me and worry about producing my animals. I also am willing sit on them as long as I have to. I think that if you don't have a line bred project or something to refine a project going...you are already dead in the water. High dollar geckos were fun of course...but when I was producing and selling geckos for $1500+, I didn't enjoy the morph as much as I do all mine now. So I sold everything off and started focusing on in house projects. In the end a gecko/morph is only worth what someone will pay for it.

Well said Travis. Actually in a way I was hoping this gecko didn't sell. He's one of those. It will be VERY hard boxing him up.

Carol and I were shocked when a guy in Denver offered $5,000 for Ronnie. I know this sounds sick but honestly I wouldn't have sold him for any price because I'd hate myself forevermore....like selling your kid.

While this is a business for many of us here, it's obviously not about the money.

Wow he is beautiful. Can't wait to see a full body shot. I wonder how much a Normal Giant would cost...normal look, no fancy color just giant...I'll find one!

He's amazing!! Whoever got him is very lucky indeed. Those personality types are definitely not easy to come by. We've had one in particular that loved to watch TV as well. I would take them out more often for some TV action, but we have quite a few cats running around, so I generally don't have the geckos out for very long.

Some just have a unique spirit that stands out amongst the rest :heart:

It's crazy how smart some of these leos are. They know never to leave the couch and they can easily be trained to do this if you are patient. I have a few that I can put on the couch, come back several hours later, and they'll still be there waiting for me. We do not have cats or dogs...

We also have some that come when called. They learn certain words and love being talked to. Leos connect with people in an amazing way. You just need to be patient and take the time with them.
