Britney, the second is great. I think you should add more visual interest by varying the right justification of all of the type lines so that they follow the visual curve of the gecko on your hand.

Is this a front & back business card or is it option 1 & option 2?

I like the 2nd photo better for the business card. But the 2nd card needs your logo.

I like the hand being present... it serves as a reminder that an actual human is taking an active role, it's not just a statement of "buy from me because I've got a high end gecko in the picture."

I think I'd like to see the second photo replaced with a gecko with eyes open though...

otherwise, I agree with dmward's suggestion...

Alright, I can see that as well... it doesn't really come across that way to me, but I suppose for many people it will. I just think eyes are a focal point that everyone are drawn to naturally.

look good, but I read into the 2nd card as the gecko closing its eye in response to being gripped. The eye closed would have worked if say you had a finger under his chin to look like you were ribbing his chin in a pleasing manner. Plus the fact that with seeing albino leos and eyes closed typically equates to me, "holy crap it's bright and this is killing my eyes!"

geeze man, some of you guys are brutal.

The gecko in the second shot is my most calm and loving gecko... she enjoying being held, and closes her eyes when she is pet most of the time. I just love the shot because it brings out her personality.

maybe we shouldn't read into it so much?

anyway, thank you all for your kind comments... I'll be continuing to work on a few different idea I have. ;)

You're reading into it as much as we are. Keep up the good work, you've absolutely got some good ideas and are implementing them well.

I think they look great britt!!!
Tha hand in the shots are very unique, the pictures are perfect... As well, the simplicity of design rocks! It's not like a cheap simplicity by any means, it's simple in an artsy fartsy kind of way, lol.
SOmetimes eyes are overrated. Roll with it yo! :)

The design look FANTASTIC, Brittney! I love the front of the card with your hand holding the gecko, but I think I would like to see the gecko's eyes open on the reverse side... (not trying to be brutal ;))
