Spastic Gecko

I have had more time to sit and watch my gecko in the evening lately and I am beginning to notice some strange things. First some background information:
He is a very good eater and will eat at about 8-10 mealworms on a daily basis. He is about 6 months old and weighs about 30 grams (he started off as a slow grower but has recently really begun to make some progress). He is in a 20g long with tile for substrate and has 4 hides: one hot, one cold, and two humid. He was originally on a staple diet of phoenix worms but because he wasn't growing I switched him over to mealies and that's when he began to blossom. I use a UTH and the hot side is kept at 96. The cool side is about 75-80. He spends most of his time on the hot side.

On to what I've been observing lately. While he continues to eat and poop regularly he seems very lethargic even at night time. What worries me more is that at times he will "spaz" out. It is not consistent, most of the time he moves like a normal gecko. It almost looks like some kind of seizure but very brief, like 1-2 seconds. Sometimes it's a series of these episodes for 1-2 minutes.

He does not appear to be in any kind of pain and he always continues to go about whatever he's doing at the moment, but obviously it's something I'm concerned about. Is there a possibility that this is some sort of neurological issue? I know that enigmas sometimes have problems with movement but even with my very limited knowledge of morphs I am pretty certain my gecko is not one.

I've thought about taking him to the vet but I am not sure what they would be able to do since the symptoms are not present consistently. If anyone has dealt with something like this before please let me know what you've experienced.

Sorry this is so long! Thanks in advance for your help:)

Make sure that if the temp is 96, that it is not much above that inside the hide on the hot side. Someone here awhile ago had a problem with the geckos getting overheated due to a UTH malfunction and having neurological type issues due to sudden calcium decrease related to the overly-high temperatures.

Thanks Aliza, I actually have the probes inside of the hide on the hot side so I don't think they are higher than 96 but maybe I'll bump it down a few degrees and see if anything changes.
