Ok, so I don't really know anything about geckos. However there are tons of cute little geckos running around my yard. I live in the Dallas area, so, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what species this could be? I can try to get pics if needed.

Also, I was wondering if this species, whatever species they might be, keepable(that's probably not a word:main_huh::p:eek:)? And is there anything wrong with keeping one that caught from the wild?

EDIT: If they are then I, of course, wouldn't keep one until I've learned about how to properly care for them.

We don't have Coleonyx sp. in the Dallas/FW area. What you are seeing are Hemidactylus turcicus, common name is Mediterranean Gecko. They are everywhere in this area.

Oh ok, thanks. :)

So, would I be able to keep one, a wild caught one, as a pet?

if you did decided to try an keep one you gotta make sure to keep in its own tank away from ne other reptiles you may have not to mention what it might carry that might be able to go animal to human.
