I have a 40 gallon breeder tank and right now it only house one gecko. I would like to put a divider in the cage. But I don't know what to use as the divider. I want to make sure that the geckos will not be able to knock it down or squeeze through a crevice and get to the other side.

So for any of you that have experience could you give me some advice.

TIA

Well, I dont have experience with it, but I have a few ideas. You could easily use glass, but I don't know if you want them to be able to see eachother. You could get glass with the right measurements and use calk or some other adhesive to keep it in place and clog up and holes. Technically you could use any harder object, not just glass to do it this way. I would say wood, but then you might need to deal with molding in the future. I think your best bet would be a glass or a plastic somehow moled to the sides of the tank. I can't think of any non-permanent way to do it without there being any holes. You also have to keep in mind how safe any of the molding you use is. Hot glue may work better than calk for tixicity reasons. Plus tanks are already put together with hot glue. Well I hope I gave you some useful advice, or at least enough for you to spark an idea of your own. Let me know what you end up doing.

I have tanks with plexi-glass dividers. Cut the plexi 1/8" less than the inside depth of the tank, and and about 1/2" shorter than the height. Get some 1/4" aquarium tubing and cut two pieces the height of the divider. Then, using an exacto knife, cut a slit all the way down the length of the tube halfway through to the open center. This will form a 'sleeve' that you can fit over each end of the plexi-glass, which holds the divider securely against the front and back walls of the tank. It can also be easily removed for cleaning or to adjust the size of the tank compartments.

Keep in mind that if you are going to divide a tank like that, you will need an UTH for each compartment.

Use glass or plexi glass, you can have a piece of glass cut to fit your tank and it will fit snug. Dont use the fish tank dividers, they have little holes in them and the leos can climb over them, trust me tried using one and had the one climb over to the other side.

The UTH is big enough to give hot spots on both sides when divided so that shouldn't be a problem. Thanks for all the tips, I do appreciate it.
