Well I've lurked here a bit and made a post yesterday concerning the behavior of my babies so I thought I'd go ahead and show off my stable.
Valentine is my first leopard gecko - I'd always wanted one when I was a kid but I had iguanas instead (and they were vicious, ooh boy don't get me started). He's about 14 months old and a big SHTCT boy: 9.5" long and 82+ grams. He's from a local pet store, and my girlfriend got me him when he was one month old.
----
Well, I love having Valentine around so much that I went to the local reptile & exotic pet expo three days ago, hoping to return the favor and buy one for my girlfriend. Long story short, so many beautiful animals everywhere and a few conversations with breeders... we walk out with three new additions to the family.
Starbuck (ala Kara Thrace) is a BEE from Jonathan at Breeder's Circle. She's the youngest and smallest but is somehow establishing herself as alpha gecko. She's quite tame and reserved. No enigma syndrome noticeable. She likes to sleep in bras and shirt pockets. :main_laugh: She's about 10 grams.
----
Nebula is a Black Hole, also from Breeder's Circle. Nebula has enigma syndrome and wobbles, tilts, and circles. She may also have striking issues, not sure - she hasn't been hungry yet. I find her endearing, and very funny. She is astoundingly alert, and looks directly at us when we hold her or talk to her. She loves to be handled and petted - she will roll over and let us pet her belly... rare indeed (Valentine hates having his underside touched). Look at her tail... could she be a giant? It just goes on and on. She's 18 grams.
----
Dexter is a Mack Snow Lavender Bold Stripe from Mike, Reptiles by Rekowski. We passed him by on the first go-around because he was in shed. However, we came back around and the girlfriend couldn't pass him up again. Upon closer inspection we could tell his patterning and contrast were great under the shed. This guy is super-high energy, flighty, and wags his tail incessantly for no apparent reason... very funny little fella. He is absolutely voracious. 12 crickets day one, 20+ mealworms day two, 6 mealworms today. I have a feeling he will get as big as Valentine...

A group shot of the babies:
They are living in a 20 gallon long on patio tile, eating crickets and mealworms.
Valentine next to Starbuck:
What do you think?
