are you talking about those are the only 2 geckos you have cause it will take years breeding out the tremper away from the eclipse trait...but if it were me....I'd just buy a radar....lol or you could attempt to hit the odds and make your own eclipse and breed to het radar.

Raptor is Tremper version of RADAR, steps needed would be to pick up a eclipse to breed to the Bell. Since RADAR is Bell x Eclipse.

EDIT: I guess you could breed them together till you got just a visual eclipse then breed that back to the Bell. Would work but would still be het for everything else. From everything I hear people are not big fans of mixing Albino types.

Don't cross the albino strains. There are so many people out there right now with het Radars that there is no need to have eclipses het two albino strains. There are a few people that have pure eclipses available as well. Get one of those and breed it to your Bells.

you shouldnt mix albino strains. If you want to get a radar and do not want to buy a radar. You need to find some eclipse that are het bell albino. Or find and eclipse that is het nothing and get a bell albino and start from there.

O ok now I understand that thanks wow very complicated lol but if I just breed a raptor to a bell can the odds play out and get a possible radar cuz I cant find pure eclipses no more

Finding a Eclipse het for nothing or het for Bell should be very easy, not expensive and would be the best way to not "muddy the waters" as they say. Having multipule albino strains in a single animal is a no no in the breeding world.

Its not hard at all to find eclipse het bell and or bells het radar. Why would you want to mix two different albino genes together? Mixing them makes no sense at all to me. If you've been wondering this since 2006 and still dont know why its a bad idea, I really dont know what to say to you?

Genetically it's a mess. There isn't any reason that I am aware of to breed them together either. Perhaps someone will have one. And what Gixxer said.....lol

Pretty much what everyone is beating around the bush in stating is that the albino strains are not compatible. When bred together you will produce normals that are het for Eclipse, Tremper and Bell. At that point in time they have no real dollar value in the market. BUT if you decide to do this you would then have to take the double hets and breed them back together. Pray that you hit the odds and hatch a visual eclipse then take that Eclipse breed it to the Raptor to prove it non het for Tremper.

Just at that point you're looking at 2-3 years. At that point Radars will be so cheap there is no point in doing what you would be doing.

My best suggestion would be to pick up 2 double het normals (het bell and eclipse) and breed them together. Pray to hit the odds. OOOORRRRR you can talk to someone that works ALOT with Radars and Bells and maybe they will hook you up...

ok now this makes alot more sence thanks, now i know to stay away from that

If your breeding the mixed albinos and intend to keep the babies as pets there is nothing wrong with breeding mixed strains. If u intend to sell the babies to ppl who want a certain genetics than its a no no
