Still no luck... Possible parasite?

So piglet ate fine when we got her- around 10 mealies a day! (she's very young- not even nearly old enough for her tail to have fattened up) But when it got to shedding time she stopped. I wasn't worried because I know that's natural. However almost 2 weeks since shedding she still hadn't eaten a thing- and I tried everything. I think she had 3 mealies, then another week later, 2 crickets. That was almost a week and she won't eat a thing. She sees the food but isn't at all interested, and either turns her nose up or toddles off. And now lately she's been very lethargic. I havent seen her leave her hide for 2 days- I know they're nocturnal, but I was awake till 3am one night and she just slept.

Today I changed her substrate from slate to paper towels and she had a good look round which was nice to see. But when she pooped (graphic stuff coming up!) it looked like she was really straining and her vent seemed redish, and when she finally managed to go it was just a little bit of orangy goo.

She's also got calcium in there but I'm worried that since she's not eating whether she's getting enough. She seems quite shakey in movement.

I picked up some locusts and little waxworms and left one of each in there for her and will just have to see in the morning if there's been any luck. I've only about an hour ago changed the substrate so she's still quite nervous about that.

Could parasites be a possibility? Since she stopped eating most her poos have been liquid- although they haven't smelled bad. I've given her baths to keep her hydrated (which she HATED) and I've tried injuring crickets and putting them in front of her. But every time I open the tank to try some food or check I her she backs away and flicks her tail.

She was so healthy when I got her and I've done everything by the book. I'm just lost for whats wrong :(

I'm sorry you're having such problems with your little one, so I hope that she starts feeling better soon.

But just to be sure you've got all bases covered I would most definitely take in a fecal sample to the vet for testing. If it is a parasite she'll start going downhill fast if you don't catch it in time.

Also, I'm sure you already know this, but if you've got any other geckos, I would quarantine your sick one until you know what's what and be super meticulous about the sanitation.

Best of luck!
