still waiting

Are you sure your female is ready? If a female isn't receptive, there has to be a reason. For example last night, I put a male and female together. He shook his tail, but she got really mad. She is a little young, I am just breeding her to get her to stop ovulating and eat. So that's the reason I am giving that it didn't work last night. I will try in a few days again. Good Luck!

My female just wont ovulate..that is my problem, im sure my male would be way more interested because an ovulating female gives off a scent doesnt she..she is old enough but just wont do it, ive been waiting and trying different stuff since january/february

If she isn't ovulating then she won't be receptive. Not to question your husbandry, but are her temps correct? And how do you introduce them? I know I put my male in with the female. I think that that is less stressful for the female.

My temps are 89-92 over the heatpad..and room temp. (73-80) on the cool side. I use tiles, have all the correct hides, (1 moist, 2 dry) have water available, mealworms, and calcium. I introduced my male to the female (moved the male out of his side and put him with the female)..also ive tried just taking the divider out, introducing my female...I guess i just have to wait for the female to ovulate.. but is any chemicals in cardboard or the partical wood affecting her from ovulating or hurting my leos?

is there any bad chemicals in partical wood?
I will probably switch my cardboard hides...should i?

thanks
