Stopping ovulation

I'm sure I'm one of the only people who wants our geckos to stop ovulating but does anyone else have this problem?

Our entire gecko room is ovulating!:main_angry: We've never had a season where the 25-40g females just wouldn't stop ovulating. In past seasons they've ovulated for a couple of weeks and then stopped but this year some of them are going on 3 months and being fussy eaters.

I really don't want to cool them but I'm starting to think it's the only option. I've got them in separate racks from breeders and males and on the other side of the room but it's not helping.

I'm having the same problem with my girl, Solis. She's been ovulating for well over a month now and she's had no appetite (I've hand fed her a few roaches but she isn't eating like she should be).

Ugh

I've got a few females that aren't up to the right weight doing the same thing. But fortunately for me they haven't completely stopped eating they just slowed down. I think that cooling might be the only option to reverse it, but I could be wrong.

me too, and a bunch of my 30-40 gram fem. are laying infertile eggs, but they are still eating, but they keep losing weight from the eggs. They usually only lay one clutch, but its still frustrating when you are trying to get them at a nice healthy breedable weight by next year.

Ours are all eating but only enough to maintain weight at an age where I'd like them to be growing like weeds! Maybe they're just trying to drive me bonkers. :dizzy2:

Mel,

Welcome to my world. Ovulating in my gecko room is like a disease and everyone has it. Eatting just enough to give me hope but never really eating enough to gain weight. It's actually quite annoying. We have some that will feed really well then stop then go back. We have had to get 3 different types of feeders to try every night just to see who will eat what.
