Storing Sperm?

I have several girls out of my recent group that are now developing eggs. They are fertile eggs but they have not been with a male since I got them almost 2 months ago. My question is did they store the sperm and are now developing eggs because of the care they are receiving from me. The group came to me in not the best of shape so I can only assume that once they began to get fed regularly they began producing eggs. I wonder what makes them release the sperm they have stored? Also how long will the sperm be viable?

Yup, they store the sperm. I don't know if they can store sperm for two months before laying the first set of eggs though, others with more experience may help with that one.
