........so I was running out of vermiculite. I ran to my local nursery and got a bag of "organic" vermiculite (sans asbestos). I thought nothing of it, except that it's a little "poofier" than the vermiculite that I was using before. I set up my eggs........
Thank heavens I checked on them. They were drying out!! I ran back to Lowe's and got the normal vermiculite that I had been using, dumped out all the old vermiculite, got new cups ready with the new vermiculite, and crossed my fingers.
I checked them again last night, and they *seem* to be doing just fine. The ones that I was worried about plumped back up, so......hopefully, tragedy averted *crosses fingers*
Who'da thought different vermiculite would make a difference? It did for me......just thought I'd share.
