I have a 5 yr old female that I bought from someone who was going off to school. She has been housed in a 20 gal terr. with Calci. sand for the past 5 years. I am thinking about switching it over to a tile floor like I have in my other terr. but I was curious if it would be too much of a stress on her since she has lived on it for the last 5 years.

i doubt she'll notice and it's probably better to switch and risk her being slightly stressed over a substrate change than getting impacted on loose substrate.

Thanks guys, that was pretty much what I was thinking to. I'll be changing that this weekend.

Again just to reinforce it the fact of the matter is Leopards truly don't belong on any loose substrate no matter how well they "Seem" to look on it. I`ve seen some Tile and Reptile carpet that looks somewhat pleasing to the eye, but Paper towel is the easiest choice overall.

Pictures of tank with Calci-sand removed

Well I removed all the calci-sand that came in the cage with her and replaced it with tile. I was worried about her being all stressed out and she actually seems to prefer the tileover the sand. She is definately out and about more. Thanks for everyones input.

Jason and kids.
