Substrate Question

I was using Reptibark until recently for my 1 year old gecko. I just switched to slate tiles. I've stuffed moss between the edges of the tile and the side of the tank so her feet/legs would not get caught. Obviously there will be some adjustment period for her. My question is -- Is the moss okay or do I need to replace it with calci-sand? Also I've put moss in both on the hide on the warm and cool side. Is this okay or should there only be moss in one hide?

i think that the moss will be perferct, as long as it isn't wet. As that could raise the humidity to much. As for it being in both hides. I can see no real problem with that. However you may want to give her an option, as to if she want to be in a moist hide, or a dry hide. If you decided to do a moist and a dry hide, i would put the moist on the cool side, so that it stays weter longer.
