Substrate

Hello,

I know sand is not a good idea so I would like to know what kind of substrate I should use. It will be in a glass cage and will need to be nice and not look ugly! My mom would like something that looks nicer then unprinted newspaper and paper towel. Any sugestions. I will use paper towel and unprinted newspaper in my racks.

You could always use repti-carpet. It comes in several different colors and usually looks very nice.

The only downside to carpet is that it is bit of a hassle to clean, and your leos may have trouble getting their nails and teeth stuck in the threads.

Personally I use tile, it looks nice and it's really easy to clean. And it's cheap, which is always a good thing :main_laugh:

I've also heard of people using slate rock, although I don't personally have any experience with it.

All three substrates are safe substitutions to paper towels :main_thumbsup:
