I have a 3 month old AFT and I was wondering if I used paper towels as substrate would it be hard to keep the humidity up?

nope, i actually use no substrate...all my breeders have lay boxes with moist peat moss as a hide...and my babies have a styrofoam meat tray..but under the meat tray i put a wet piece of paper towel to keep humidity up...so just moisten the paper towel when you put it in your set-up..hope this helps..

best regards,
Alex

if you use paper towels you just have to remember to use humid hides and everything will be fine (in terms of humidity).

I use coco fiber in all of my fat tail cages

I use coco fiber in my adult fat tail cage. I used to use it in my hatchling's cage, but I was worried about her ingesting it, as she got a little in her mouth when she hunted. Thanks for the help.
