Sudden heat problem?

I have used a microclimate ministat 100 with my geckos heatmat since i got him.Today ive noticed instead of bringing the temperature up,switching off then bringing the temp back up again,its been constantly on and holding the same temperature :main_huh: Its still warm in his cave. Its showing at 30.3c on the digital thermometer and holding. Anybody no why its doing this? I havent messed about with the temperature settings on the stat and the probes havent moved. Is there a problem with the stat by any chance?

The only thing I can imagine, is that if the ambient temperature is much lower, since it's winter, maybe the temp is cooling down a lot faster so it needs to switch back on more often.
