suggestion: thread for show pics?

I think it would be nice to have a separate thread where people can put up their show experiences....

Maybe it exists already, and I just haven't found it yet??

I was at the Scott Smith's All Animal Expo at Wheaton yesterday, July 10th, and here are my photos. We had a good crowd, and I met Kristi the Eclipse Queen! :main_yes:

I'll be going back on Saturday, August 6th.
I'd like to see your pictures, your banners and promotional stuff, and your set-ups!!

The little monkey was cool! They had a male and a female, and the female actually wore a tiny pink dress. I don't know what kind of monkeys they were, but they made terrible sounds, like tea kettles!!! :main_laugh:

great pics! Those puppies and that monkey were cute! I would be so terrified those snakes would try to eat my geckos lol I will be attending the Repticon Tampa Show this weekend. It will be my first expo I attend. I will just be a guest though.

Even if you're "just" a guest, put up your pics :main_yes: You might see some cool stuff. Like, I witnessed how a guy and a gal "unpacked" this giant yellow snake from its shed.... almost right in front of my booth!!

I didn't. Actually, I was a little bit disappointed in the audience and the quality of geckos they were looking for. I only sold one high-end Eclipse (yes, from your breeder male!) and took the others and the Raptors and Carrot Tails back home. Mostly, kids came and wanted Normals and Mack Snows. So the demand was more for the lower-end morphs than for high quality geckos. I wonder if it is worth while to bring Radars. I was looking for a Typhoon, but there was nothing there. In Indianapolis, I sold more higher-end leopard geckos than in Wheaton.

Also, there were LOTS of crested geckos at Wheaton, but fat tails were completely underrepresented. I think I saw only four (four animals, not four vendors)!

I only got some feeders and a large piece of wood. I went to get frozen rats. One vendor tried to give me ones that were way too small. The other vendor was sold out. That show seemed a bit small. Saturdays are always better. I was looking for fat tails, too. Once in awhile JMG will be there and Jeff brings a nice selection. Otherwise there aren't many.

How big is the Indianapolis show compared to the Wheaton show? I've gone to a couple out of state and they were both super small.
