Suggestions on a 75 gallon tank?

I was lucky enough to snag a 75 gallon tank for 40 bucks on CL. I would like suggestions on what types on live plants would be best. Right now I have a bottom layer of plain topsoil and a top layer of eco-earth.

I've read that it's safe to house 1 male to about 3-4 females. I know that males shouldn't be together but what's the max on females?

I want to also build some perches for them, any suggestions on the best way to do that?

Ok, I'm not planning on getting all of those animals at once. Probably a good male first then add females to it. The snake plant is actually pretty cool looking, thanks for the suggestion.

I wouldnt add that many females with a male.
If you want to do a community tank I would stick with only females.
Maybe 3 or 4 but you'll need to set up several feeding stations and monitor them very closely.
Females can fight and bully each other too.
I would avoid putting a male in there because you'll have females laying eggs through out the whole bottom (pain to find them) and you'll have to remove him anyways to give them a break.
Sounds like a bad idea to me.
