What is the difference? Or is it just two names for the same thing...

I have both a male and a female bell... Which is why I wonder if one is a hybino instead of a sunglow. The only difference I can really see is my young female has zero spotting on the white on her tail, where my big male has a bunch of tan spots...

I see it as a Sunglow is a Hybino, but a Hybino is not necessarily a Sunglow.

Sunglows have the tangerine in there with the super hypo. Hybino just means super hypo albino.

There is a lot of previous discussion on this topic: http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=3670 and if you're really bored, here's what Google produces: http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-....,cf.osb&fp=73042cab28be1b6a&biw=1280&bih=800

My original thought was that a hybino would be better served to describe a hypomelanistic albino, while sunglow would be represented by a super-hypomelanistic albino. That doesn't appear to be the case though. One prominent breeder is referring to Tremper specimens as sunglows, and using the hybino moniker with the Bells. Bottom line, I guess it doesn't matter!

In your case, the spots would likely be more representative of a hypomelanistic animal, whereas your female looks to be super-hypomelanistic. I'm only guessing at it...

IMO i would say that hybinos are Super Hypomelanistic Albinos and Sunglows are super hypos too BUT with tangerine on them

Thanks all, sunglows they shall remain :p
Still curious about the females tail though..

I have never seen a Rainwater Sunglow, they are always labeled Rainwater Hybino. Although it might be because no one has created a Rainwater Sunglow yet!

The female is still young, spots may develop later. If not then that is pretty neat!
