I posted a jungle het raptor about 2 weeks ago. This geckos is now 3 and a half weeks old and is already 12 grams. his clutchmate is 7 grams. I may have a jungle super giant het raptor here...:main_yes: :main_yes: p.s. they are housed single.

Yes giants are a dominant trait. I do not deal with the giant morphs but if I am not mistaken the raptor morph has giant genes. I believe that can randomly appear from raptors???

I have no idea, but our Mack Snow (whom we got from Alex Hue) mysteriously grew to the size of a super giant, but he (Alex) has never worked with Giants or Super Giants... but yet, many of his Macks have grown to be HUGE! maybe it's something similar..??

It is possible one of the parents is a Giant. In that case, it might be a Giant. It`s not a Super Giant, unless it has two Giants, or a Giant and a Super, for parents.

That also does not seem too large for 3 1/2 weeks, and it is not that much larger than the sibling IMO. Geckos grow at all different paces, even clutchmates.;)

Again, I am not an expert on giants. But when you start throwing all the genes of the raptors around lots of outcomes are possible.. The grandfather of this baby on the mothers side was a het raptor. he was huge..100 grams plus. Yes it is possible to hatch a giant from normal looking parents. The first giant by ron tremper (if i am not mistaken) was produced from normals...I do realize that babies grow at different rates. But to this date after hatching hundreds of offspring I dont remember any that were 12 grams at 3 weeks old... we will have to wait and see just how big he gets. should be interesting...

yea, Dave its going to be a super giant most likely. Moose (RIP) was 14grams at 4weeks so if yours is 12grams at 3 weeks u can bet its going to be a real big one:main_thumbsup:

Sounds awfully big to me for its age. I have two clutchmates that seem to be giants (from a pair of giant parents) and the larger of the two was 8.5 grams at 3 weeks so yours is quite a bit larger.
