I found this auction on a super snow leopard gecko on fb. It started at $5 but has got up to $50 as of now. It will end in the next 2 hours so I need answers ASAP. The shipping for me is $29.

I haven't owned a leopard gecko but I am experienced in reptiles. I would like a few good care sheets thrown at me.

8 grams
Female
Hatched 5/15/12.

ASAP Question

How much do they go for and is that a good deal?

It is hard to say the worth of a gecko with very little knowledge of the genetics or the owner. If it is a line bred snow then it is probably worth a good bit. A lot of the time, breeders with bigger names are able to sell their geckos at a higher price since they are reputable and the customer knows they will be receiving a quality animal.

It is a super snow and $50 is a good price. I would be careful with that shipping price. At that rate, they are more then likely using USPS. To me, USPS is too much of a risk to use but that's my opinion. If I was interested in the gecko, I would inquire about the postal carrier they use. You might also research and find a reptile expo or private breeder locally.

It is from Magical Geckos, I say they are probably really good. They have a bunch of nice looking geckos and even ones for $800 ><

It is TSF, what does that mean?

It is on fb, Facebook.

Can someone give me some good care sheets?

I don't know if I should get this gecko, what do you guys think? I have had past lizards. Black Collards, Bearded dragon, and a chameleon. I use to have many turtles and corn snakes. I currently have a corn and 2 Ball pythons...working on 3 more BPs.

I'm not sure, maybe I shouldn't.

I am capable of keeping one. I volunteered for an animal sanctuary which had one. I was the reptile keeper, I'm not new. It would take me about 10mins to read up and get everything it needs. But I think I might just stick with my snakes for now since I plan to breed them this fall or next fall.

I just thought if it was a really good deal that I would steal it and maybe enjoy a little lizard.

now i wasnt saying you werent capable but getting all the info you need in ten min is not a good sign, if you really want one take your time, make shur you got it right , find exactly the one you want and then you dont have to worry about making mistakes do to spur of the moment discisions

Researching isn't hard when you already know things about any reptile. I dealt with a Chameleon on the "spur of a moment" but it turned out pretty good but chameleons can be a pain too.

I'll leave this one go, maybe read a few threads, and see what other deals come out.

Thanks everyone..

If I were you, I would go to a reptile show if you have one close to your house because they tend to be a lot cheaper there!

If you do this, research the breeders before you go. Not everyone at the expos is a good breeder. Cheaper really isn't better.
