My oldest daughter is nuts right now. We've had the tanks set up for over a month now or close to it, and the Repticon event finally starts tomorrow. I'm planning on buying the majority of our supplies there such as UTH's, thermometers, etc. We'll be coming home with something live for each tank but still no clue what yet, lol. We've been researching Beardeds, Mali Uro's, Leo's, and many more.

Poor kid had a rough month last month at school so because of that, I told her she couldn't go to the show as part of her punishment as she had repeat offenses (kid is a straight A+ student but can't stop talking when she's not supposed to .. JUST LIKE HER MOTHER@!!!!) Anyhow, she thinks I'm just taking her to breakfast tomorrow but she's in for a surprise when we pull up to the fairgrounds and she sees the giant inflatable cobra they have setup for the event in front of the main building =D

She will be so excited you may want to take a change of clothes incase she pees her self. My son has been going to shows with me since he was a baby. He's 5 now and its still one of his favorite things. Hard to leave empty handed when they give you the puppy dog eyes.

I would vote for anything other than beardies!! they are really cool however they are a lot of work...In a lot of ways..they eat a lot more than leos. and you end up spending alot more money on feeders and money on keeping those feeders alive...ect...but thats only me!!

There is nothing better as a parent then when you say you pick which ever one you want and watch them study each leopard and move from table to table until they finally pick one and its just as special because its one they picked. Hope you two have fun tomorrow

yup, we've already been through that ten times over. The exaggerated cost and upkeep of a juvie bearded is the very reason we will definitely not get one. If we do go the route of a bearded, it will be an adult who eats more greens than insects.

What an awesome dad I hope I'm like that when I have a kid...I feel I may be the parent that grounds my child from their x-box just to sneak it in my room and play it. On the other hand, they would always have reptile shows to go to hehe. Can't wait to see what is picked out! Have a great time

We don't have a show here in Charlotte,NC till October. My granddaughter ( 10 ) got me into Geckos. It would have not been so bad but I keep hers here with me. It did help, with my wife, when we got Gecko #2...lol.

Seems like you will be a Great Dad......... for a while..LOL!:main_thumbsup:
