Ok im thinking about changing what I incubate my eggs in. I used hatchrite very successfully last season. But ive been reading about superhatch and I was thinking about giving it a try. I only have 1 breeding female at the moment so im trying not to mess anything up as far as incubation goes lol.. Any suggestions?

i would stay with what you know has worked good for you. i had horrible results on superhatch last year. maybe i was doing something wrong but everything else was hatching just fine on vermiculite.

Im nervous about trying to use vermiculite because of the ratio thing lol. If I mess up id feel very guilty because it would be my fault. Hatchrite is just so handy because its already pre mixed and ready to go. I wish you could buy hatchrite at a local store or something lol.. It would be so much easier :) But I think ill just order more Hatchrite online when I get paid haha. Thanks for the input!

I agree that you should at least start out with what you know works well for you. I've never tried hatchrite but had superb results with superhatch, after trying vermiculite. spaghnum, and perlite. Maybe try a new medium after you get your project off the ground if feel confident with it.
