for those of you who still buy superworms, i would like to know how much you pay for them, and what price you think is reasonable ?
the reason im asking is i may start selling off my extra worms locally and i would like what i should price them at

thanks,

I do the same. I sell the surplus of worms that I don't use to feed my geckos and fish. It's hard to compete with the prices of what you can have them shipped to you at, but I've found that people will pay more for organic worms that are still fresh when bought locally. I sell mine for:

1000ct - $30.00
500 ct - $18.00
250 ct - $10.00
100 ct - $ 5.00

It's impossible to count each one when your selling thousands of them a month so I count out 100 of the largest worms in each batch and weigh them (60-75grams usually) and then multiply that weight by 10 for 1000 ct, by 5 for 500 ct and so on. This ensures that every count is always over because if your setting your basis off of the largest 100 worms then the same weight with slightly smaller worms will be over 100.

My local "Pet Supplies Plus" sells 25 for $1.99 and they are usually really big! If they are all out up front and one of the kids who works there has to go in the back to make me up a cup, they usually throw in quite a few extras. What a deal! Bob

My Pet+ Does 3.43 for 40. Although my other LPS has them for 5 for a 100(they raise their own feeders and have good prices).
