I know that superworms do not have to be refrigerated. How long can they live unrefrigerated? I don't want to over buy when I order some.

How many geckos are you feeding? I typically only offer 2-3 supers per feeding when I use them. They are to never be refridgerated, doing such will kill them.

As for lifespan, as long as they are fed they should last weeks and months. I've been trying, unsuccesfully, to get a colony going. I started with 200 sometime back in November I think.

I'm feeding 1 gecko every other day. Would ordering 250 at a time be good?

they should last at least 3 months if fed properly. 250 should be able to feed 3-4 gecko's for at least 2 months.

I have a shoebox full of them that I ordered 2 months ago. I ordered 500 I believe, and they are still active, eating, pooping, and still plenty of them in there. And I'm using them to feed 4 geckos that'll eat them every day.

If you have 1 to care for, 250 is more than plenty. They'll last a long time. Just remember to change out the bedding once they smell, because boy, they can stink.

Giant Mealworms are also a good item....and they can be kept dormant in fridge.

Otherwise do you have a friend who has any Herps...you could order with that person to save on shipping.

at Grubco.com giant mealworms are the Mighty mealies!

Grubco has good prices but they don't take Pay Pal. I live in Jersey so I'm trying to find someplace online to order worms from that's as close to Jersey as possible.

yea you just need to put your card numbers in instead of purchasing through paypal. Works the same way.

connect your paypal with your checking account and then transfer the money on your paypal to your bank account.

Whatever you do DO NOT order from Mealworms2go on ebay!!! 3000 mealies burned to a crisp because they shipped out an order during 100 degree weather without cool pack. I warned them temps were gonna be high they assured me they would be fine...when I got the order they wrote NO COOL PACK TEMPS ONLY 81.

6 weeks ago for my very first mealworm order I ordered from Exotic Nutrition. I got the worms in about 3 days well packed and all alive. There are cheaper places online but I'll probably use Exotic Nutrition agan.
