I admit to being lazy :main_yes:

Is it rare to have eggs sweat a week before the date they should be due? I have a pair that are worrying me:main_no:

:D Funny aren't I:main_yes: Bret, I was just pulling your leg and thanks Dave.

When I say the eggs are sweating, I mean they are rubber soft now and water is beading up on them and running off (few drops). The other 17 eggs in that container are solid and dry, so it's not a damp substrate issue.

They went bad I think. My incubator is setup perfectly, but I think something went wrong with them for unknown reasons. I dry them off and they keep sweating. I have no condensation on the lid and very little just above the substrate and all the other eggs are firm and dry.

sorry if they went bad! Maybe the egg had to much fluid inside of it and from the heat could be causing them to sweat, also may be why they are still soft

If the eggs are sweating you are very close to a hatchling. Eggs generally sweat 2-3 days prior(but i have see more days, to no sweating at all) I would not throw them away, keep incubating them til they stink.

Thanks Pat. They have been sweating for 5 days now and are very soft too. Believe me until they stink and grow hair, they will be in my incubator. They are seperated into there own deli cup now just incase they mold over.

They were firm like a typical egg 10 days ago.
