Switching to mealies?

Hi all
I rescued a 2-year-old female gecko from a woman who could no longer care for her about 2 days ago. She appears pretty healthy, just some stuck shed on her toes that I'm working off with warm baths. The only problem is that she was given crickets as her staple diet in the past and won't touch mealworms. I would really like to switch her to mealies because we have no room for and my family is not comfortable with keeping crickets. Any tips on how to easily switch her over to mealworms? Is it a possibility that she is not eating due to the stress of the move? Thanks!

Yes, it's likely she isn't eating due to stress, but it may also be difficult to get her to recognize mealworms as food if she's eaten crickets her entire life. If the gecko is not healthy or a good weight, you should probably keep feeding crickets until she has recovered more. Switching to mealworms will take time, and she will probably refuse to eat for a while.
