about a month and a half ago my gecko Bella lost her tail for an unknown reason & it was nowhere to be found in the cage. i'm thinking she ate it. anyways, the tail isn't growing back! it looks exactly the same as when the tail first fell off, except the pink part that was raw now looks like it has a white film over it, kind of how their skin looks before theyre about to shed, but she hasn't shed since the tail fell off and does not look like she is going to any time soon.
does anyone know why the tail hasn't grown back? the enclosure is clean, i take the poop out every day and regularly change the water, etc.
any ideas?
i would take a picture but she hasn't been too friendly for the past month or so. if really necessary ill try to catch her when she's out from under her hide, i dont want to stress her out. i can imagine losing her tail was stressful enough.
