One of the leopard geckos i own is a tangerine and is in a cage with a normal leopard gecko, they are both healthy but the tangerine is fatter. One of my friends also has a tangerine alone and it is also quite fat. Have any of you noticed a different bigger metabolism on tangerine leos also?

Chances are your tangerine is taking up more of the food because it's dominant over your other gecko. Separate them and they'll probably even out.

Regardless of whether the tangerine is dominating the other gecko, I have to say that there does seem to be a line of tangs that have really wide heads and fat bodies and tails. I associate them with the Hines line of superhypo tangs and have had several like that over the years.

I have 4 juvies the same age, all different morphs (tang, murphys, albino, jungle) and they all get the same sized meals of the same things and the same time and the tang is the fattest (not the biggest though, which is interesting.)
