Tank lids for kings/corns?

I have young kings and a young corn. Would using the lids that you have to use the clips (Ones that just go on top) be okay, or do I have to get the sliding lock tops?

I've had nothing but success with clipping wire screens to my corn snake tanks. One thing to make sure of is that the clips hold the screen on tight enough. I've bought some pretty lazy clips and returned them the same day. I like the clips that actually pry themselves underneath the tank trim, even if just a little. If they don't do that, they're not worth the $3 you would pay.

I am fond of my one 20L with the sliding top. The only reason I have it is because I got it for free from a local museum and that the built in locking mechanism doesn't work. All I have to do is keep something in the padlock spot and all is well. I would not have bought the tank on my own because I find them to be too expensive.
