your could call is yesta which is the god of fire in greek mythology, although that baby is probably stressed from hatching and all. id leave it alone for a bit to settle in, but that just my opinion, obviously its your gecko! its cute by they way! absolutelu tiny, i think even smaller than my hatchling which only hatched about an hour ago

yes, she is quite small...makes no sense, cause her egg was HUGE...but she hatched 2 days ago actually...I just took that video today...so I'm sure she's settled by now...I think she's just mouthy!

speakin of mouthy...anyone hear rob in the background of that first vid? I gave him the dirtiest look before he said "what'd I do?" LMFAO!!!

Cute baby, but I don't think hatchlings should be pestered too much. I try not to disturb them more than I have to until they've started eating good. That's just my opinion though. I know you meant no harm Tonya.

LOL... cute video. I'ld be a schizo too If I were that small. I as well know you meant no harm and this probably goes without saying.....but:) be careful they will drop their tales if they get to stressed. (then again they do get another one right):main_laugh:

yes, I know, and it's only necessary for 1 person to say it. multiple people repeating the same thing starts to sound preachy after a while. I just wanted to show off her temper, which was the only reason for the videos...other than making sure she was still alive yesterday (her clutchmate was weak and died last monday) she has been completely undisturbed. I can't wait to see her colors develop...there is some very nice orange that's not easily visible on her head

Cute baby! She definitely is a fiesty little one. Here are a few name that you might find fit her personality: Ignacia mean "fiery", Kali means "energy", and Shandy means "rambuncious".

Oh, and I did hear Rob in the background saying something about sand and interupting your video. Lol, I bet that pissed you off.

Cute little screamer :main_thumbsup: it's fairly common for hatching to act like that as they don't know you aren't a threat to them.Nice little clip but i wouldn't do that any more as it can result in you leo running away leaving you his/her tail behind as a gift :main_yes: i'd consider you lucky he/she didn't drop his/her tail on you even for that clip.I wouldn't base his/her name on how he/she acts now as with reguar handeling he/she can and most likely will become a teddy bear.Leo's aren't know for there aggressive nature i'd say 99% are dog tame as adults.

I'm sorry, no one take this wrong, but it seriously feels like everyone thinks I have little basic knowledge of hatchlings...this is my second season, not my first...pretty much everything that everyone has said I already know...

I only wanted to show off how vocal she was...and I thought it was a cute idea to give her a name based on how vocal she is...considering this endeared her so much to me in the few days she's been on "this side of the shell"

understood jill but honestly, pestering her for that long wasn't necessary. after a couple of squawks, screams and pseudo attacks people would have gotten the idea.
