has anyone here had a chance to witness Heath Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker? My wife and I have seen it twice. We had to see it a second time just to see Ledger's Joker one more time.

If you haven't take the time to see it in the cinema, you are truly missing something amazing!

I saw it on Saturday. Heath Ledger was absolutely amazing.

I'm still in awe. I really want to go see it again.

I thought they re-cast him and re-shot his scenes. The movie wasn't done I heard before he died so they had to re-cast....maybe it was a lie.... :(

no, all of his scenes were completed before his death. it is 100% ledger in all his maniac glory. he should win an oscar for that role (not saying that because he is dead either).

I just hope if they do a 3rd one they don't try to re-cast the Joker since after Ledger's performance any one else would just be sub-par.

Agreed, I can't imagine someone else equalling that, much less topping it...

Well from what I read about there being a 3rd one there is no contract so it depends on the director. He said though that if he does do a third one he was thinking about doing the riddler.

Yea I noticed that does anyone know why though????

I'm not sure. I mean don't get me wrong, that Maggie Gyllenhall was great but it was just odd that they would do that in such a big movie.

Honestly I think it was a step-up recasting Katie, Maggie was alot better in the role.

BINGO. She's much easier on the eyes too... :main_laugh: :main_laugh: :main_laugh:

I think the movie was fantastic... one of the best in a very very long time! I'm not even a really big movie person, I only watch them to 'de-stress', or because I have to... lol... but this film, I'm considering going again in the next few weeks.

Ledger BECAME the role, you really forget that it is him acting... he took on the role so well.. you really start to believe him... :)

Well I did a little research its not for sure why but it seems that she did not want to do it because she was too busy.

Was I the only one or was anyone else a little disappointed that Two Face, not Harvey Dent only had a minimal amount of time? Idk he is personally my favorite villian from batman.
