No more eggs to hatch from Blackie and I think this is the darkest babies so long. She turnes darker after every shedding and thats the same development as Blackie had.

Sweet getting darker :main_thumbsup: .Just a thought and i know it's not a walk down the road.Have you seen GekkoGalaksen dark (Afganicus) maybe try to get or borrow a dark stud for your project to breed with Blackie and Blackie's dark offspring ? if they have one spare and it's possible for you to get hold of one.See if this improves you black velvet project at all. Will save you trying to incubate a male and will also be unrelated.

Dark (Afganuicus).

Yes, thank you for the tip, but Lotta is a friend of mine and I've already been offered afganicus from her. Afganicus and macularius are not the same. Afganicus are very small (in size) and mine are normal size macularius and I want to keep the size. I also want to find out the genetics, if there is any dominant genes behind the mutation Blackie got, or not, and I have to do that only with Blackies offspring, no out crossings yet.
If the project shows this is "just" line bred dark once, I can use the possibility to make some out crosses with outer dark individuals, but to day that isn't interesting at all. And if the project can prove dominant hypermelanistic genes I can do a lot of more interesting out crossings than other dark leos.

There is a lot of people who want me to breed some offsprings with midnight blizzards. But that is not what I want. I want to keep the line as pure as possible and I'm very, very careful here.
