What is your favorite aussie gecko?

That's a hard choice...I think for the moment my favorite is the Jewelled Gecko,
Diplodactylus elderi and only because of the pictures located here. There's just something cute about the way it sits in the bushes. But then there are some amazingly patterned terrestrial geckos in Aussieland that I would love to see in collections here.
Question about that. Is there any specific reason as to why a lot of the stuff on that particular page there is not found in US collections? Are Aussie laws strict on such things, or are animals from Aussieland rather difficult to acclimate to captivity? Or some other reason? Or a combination of reasons?

Australia is very proud of their fauna and have super strict laws over exporting most species.
