When you were a kid, did you ever catch frogs and toads in the summer?

We didn't really have frogs and toads by my house. There was one pond that always had snails and crabs though. I never kept any, just kinda played with them. Always caught catarpillars though. I saw a little frog outside my apartment here at school. I was gonna keep it, but I didn't want to take it out of it's natural habitat.
