Can't believe I forgot to post this here! The GF has wanted an ETB or GTB for a long time, but I figured I'd start her off with something a little easier to handle. So, home from the Tampa show this guy came for our anniversary =)

thats a sweet snake. but what do you mean handle? if you mean take care of than i agree, but if you mean hold in your hands, then man are you in for a suprise. ATBs are horrable snakes for holding. but, again beautiful snake. i love TBs.

I agree that they're bitey...but they're not the razor-mouths that the greens and emeralds are. This guy is also CBB, so he's much calmer than most. When I had him out last night (for over an hour) he bit me twice, which is a far cry from the 20+ hits the first night home. He's calming down quickly.

I saw this and had to post about mine. I have had him for almost a 2 weeks and he was closed mouth struck me 2 times and I handle him for at least 30 min daily. If you know how to treat these snakes then they are chill as can be. I love mine but everyone is scared of him cause of the warning against fast movement around them. They are very alert snakes and thats all point blank if you can be chill they will be too. I will post pics of mine soon. Also as a side note these can be hybridized with emerald tree boas and those are awsome too.

Actually most ATBs are CBB these days, but even CBB are pretty nippy. My breeder who I'm picking up a little female from on Thursday let me go to his house to check them out, these lil guys are born evil all 14 of the hatchlings were nippers. I handle my year old guy like an hour a day (takes a while for him to get unwrapped around the vines with me avoiding getting bitten) And for the three months I've had him he hasn't gotten any better at all, and remember ATB's are unpredictable, just the other day mine was as calm as can be and after 20 minutes my index got shredded up, lol. I like their behaviour though, TBs are never boring. My dude even strikes out at the tv, lol.

There are more breeders now but most are still wild caught;)

Aha sorry I forgot that this was an international forum lol. Well In Canada I've yet to see WC for sale, I know many breeders have adults that are WC, but up here it's mostly CBB in ATBs
